Hi.
I have 10+ hours on the Meru M so far. It is my first 2-liner, and i have 2 seasons on 777 King before stepping up. I use Exoceat harness and TOW is max (115kg).
I find this glider absolutely amazing, and i'll highlight the following that i feel is the biggest positive experiences for me;
1.
As it is a two-liner, i expected a bigger gap of increased "workload" when flying in active air. This have so far not been the case. I feel it to be talking a lot via brakes/risers, but more like low summing rather then load screaming. I find this helpful to maintain active piloting.
The make and model of you harness will probably make BIG differences on the felt behavior in this matter.
2.
When it comes to comfort/performance this glider is a dream. In the air it feels safe and "easy".
The solid and nice feeling when flying is not far away from my 777 King. The big difference comes to usability and performance (speed/glide) when using speedbar.
It usually does not dive/fall behind when going in/out of lift, so i find it very effective and a pleasant behavior as it normally do not need much corrections with B-raiser or brake to stay overhead.
3.
The way this glider turns, i must describe it as pure fun. It is very precise, with small inputs and medium brake force. Super high wing-overs is possible on only two turns, so the energy in the wing is very quickly transformed into action. Coring the narrowest of thermals seems possible with this wing.
Not focusing on the few "cons" here, as i feel they are covered in the reviews from others.
I find that all in all, UP have created a very nice, fun and competitive product in the Meru.
I stumbled upon one more big Meru-review, so i include the link.
It may help fill some gaps from other reviews already mentioned in this forum-thread;
NB! Not in English. So auto translate helped me.
